Healing Scriptures for you infographic

Healing Scriptures For You

These healing scriptures are to help you know that God wants you well!  Jesus bore sicknesses and diseases on your behalf just as much as He bore your sins.  He no more wants you to be sick than He wants you to sin.

The Greek word, sozo from which has been translated save/saved, also means healed/made whole.  Healing is just as much a part of God’s plan of redemption as the forgiveness of sins.

Deuteronomy 28 lists the blessings and curses of obedience or disobedience of the Law.  The blessings are listed in verses 1-14.   The curses are listed in v. 15-68.  In the list of curses are many, many kinds of sicknesses.  Sickness is a curse of the Law.

Galatians 3:13, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having been made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree.”

God does not use sickness/disease to bless us, or teach us some kind of a lesson.

Acts 10:38, “… how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

We can clearly see that God heals, the devil makes us sick.  So, “Submit yourselves to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7.

John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy.  I (Jesus) have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.”

The devil kills, God gives Life, above and beyond our wildest imagination. The devil is bad and the author of evil.  God is and authors good! We need to be clear who our adversary is.  It is not God.

Heb. 1:3, tells us that Jesus “… being the brightenss of His Glory and the express image of His Person, and upholding all things by the word of His power……”  the ‘express image of His Person’ means an exact copy, or representation of His Father. Jesus never made anyone sick. He never sent anyone away saying He couldn’t heal them.  Since Jesus always healed, then we can see the Father’s heart.  In fact, Jesus also said He never did anything that He didn’t see His Father doing.

God wants us well, so much that Jesus died to pay for it, and He lives to provide health, healing and wholeness.  When we received Christ for salvation, a great exchange took place.  He took our life and hid it in Him.  We received HIS Life as our very own.  We have been made brand new creations.

This is not an exhaustive teaching for there is much more teaching to be done regarding this subject, which isn’t the main point of this article. This is an invitation for you to begin to see that if you’re suffering with any kind of illness or disease, there is always HOPE. His Name is Jesus!

The following Scriptures are listed to help you.  Read them over and over, multiple times a day.  The Word of God will do what it says for God exalts His own word above His own name.(Psalm 138:2).  And His Words don’t return void.  It always accomplishes the purpose for which it was sent. (Isaiah 55:11).
Meditate on these and let His Word sink from your head into your heart.
{All of the following Scriptures are from the New King James Version of the Bible}

*Psalm 103:2-3, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:  Who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases,”

*Psalm 107:20, “He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

*Isaiah 53:4-5, “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.  But He was wounded for OUR transgressions, He was bruised for OUR iniquities;  the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we ARE {present tense} healed.

*Matthew 8:17,  “that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:  ‘He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.’”

*1 Peter 2:24, “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

Proverbs 4:20-22, “My son, give attention to my words;  Incline your ear to my sayings.  Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart;  For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.”  (“health” in vs. 22 is “marpe” in Hebrew, which means “medicine”).

*1 Cor. 6:19, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is IN you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  For you were bought with a price;  therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”   To whom do you belong?

Speak to your problems:

Mark 11:23-24, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, ‘whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

The following Scriptures are for encouragement:

John 17:23, “I in them, and You in Me;  that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”

Psalm 103:1-5, “Bless the LORD, O my soul;  And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:  Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles’s.”

Psalm 91:16, “With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”

Psalm 107:20, “He sent His word and healed them.”

Psalm 118:17, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.”

Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because He trusts in You.”

Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  (hope=a confident expectation of GOOD).

Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

Romans 8:32, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Hebrews 10:35, “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.”

Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.”

3 John 3:2, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things, and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”  (the mind, the will, and the emotions = the soul)

2 Corinthians 10:4-5, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;”

May you be settled in your soul (your mind, your emotions and your will) that God always, always wants you well.  Jesus healed everyone—whether there were many present, or just one or a few at a time.  He said He did whatever He saw His Father do and that He didn’t do anything of Himself.  When you see His heart for you, you can confidently know the Father’s heart for you is to enjoy the healing that has already been provided for YOU just because He LOVES you!   It’s just one of many things included in our Divine Inheritance we’ve been given just by virtue of our relationship as sons and daughters of the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords!

Speak God’s words with faith (believe you’ve received and don’t let doubts creep into your heart) and you will experience what you confidently expect (hope). Can you see yourself healed?  If so, Keep that picture alive!  If not, find a photo of you when you were well, and post it where you see it often.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by MY Spirit says the Lord of hosts.”  Zecchariah 4:6
